A youth led report on creating a digital world for and by us
For young people today, the online and physical worlds are inseparable. Social media, gaming, and AI shape how they socialise, learn, and see themselves – yet young people are rarely given a meaningful role in shaping those environments.
Led by young people at FlippGen over nearly six months, this report was co-designed, authored, and delivered by the same generation it speaks for – not about them, but by them. They designed the format, invited participants, secured support from corporate, civil society and international organisations, hosted the event, and wrote every word.
The findings reveal a generation that is digitally aware, thoughtful, and nuanced – one that doesn’t want to reject technology, but to reshape it into something that genuinely works for them.
A collaboration between FlippGen, 5Rights, Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, and Lush.
