Michigan Kids Code

The Michigan Kids Code (SB 758SB 759) was introduced in December 2025 by Senator Kevin Hertel and Senator Stephanie Chang.

The bill establishes standards for online platforms relating to usage by kids, including increasing privacy and safety settings, prohibiting targeted advertising, and increasing parental control of their children’s accounts.

A vote by the Senate  Finance, Insurance, And Consumer Protection Committee is expected in Spring 2026.
