Digital Times

The ‘Digital Times’ newspaper was written, edited and compiled with the children and young people of the 5Rights Foundation Data Literacy Commission.

It profiles the stories, experiences, and opinions of young people, taking us through everything from local to international news, and business to the arts. Whether it’s the classroom-based CCTV in China, where a facial recognition system scans students’ behaviour every 30 seconds, or letting us know what personal information that children would be happy to share with online services, the Digital Times let’s us know what is on young people’s minds when it comes to the digital world.

We would like to thank both We Are Snook for its help in planning and coordinating the Workshops of this Commission, and all the young people, teachers, and school leaders who took part.
