5Rights leads joint letter to Secretary of State on the Children’s Code

In partnership with the Children’s Commissioner for England, The Children’s Charities Coalition on Internet Safety, UNICEF UK and the Carnegie UK Trust, 5Rights Foundation wrote a joint letter to the Secretary of State to to lay the Age Appropriate Design Code in Parliament as soon as the ‘standstill’ period has elapsed, and to fully support both the Information Commissioner and the digital sector in enforcing and complying with its provisions.

The letter follows the publishing of the Age Appropriate Design Code by the Information Commissioner earlier this week and builds the case for the UK to be uniquely positioned in designing online protections for children and cementing its place on this global platform as a result.
