Australia’s Draft Children’s Online Privacy Code

Australia’s Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) is developing a Children’s Online Privacy Code that would establish binding rules for how tech companies collect, use, and share children’s data.

5Rights submitted to the consultation in June 2026, setting out what the draft Code gets right and where it should go further.
