Invitation to join DigiPulse Child Advisory Board

5Rights is looking for enthusiastic young people between the ages of 13 to 14 and based in the UK to join a Child Advisory Board for the DigiPulse project exploring children’s experience of smartphone use.

We are looking for young people committed to promoting children’s rights, empowering their peers, and who are interested in talking about how smartphone apps, features and content relate to children’s wellbeing and mental health. Whether you’re in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, if you want to make a positive impact for children in the digital world, we’d love for you to apply!

The Child Advisory Board will meet six to seven times between November 2026 and December 2028 to explore:

Participants will receive a £15 gift card for each workshop they take part in.

Participants will be working directly with the Digital Futures for Children centre, a research institute at the London School of Economics in collaboration with the 5Rights youth engagement team to shape our research with young people’s perspectives and lived experiences. We will also have additional optional meetings to focus on youth opportunities, capacity-building, and knowledge-sharing.

The project is rolled out in the UK, Kenya and Brazil. Each country has its own Child Advisory Board and international meetings with the other boards are planned later in the project.

You can find out more about the DigiPulse project here.

If you’re interested in taking part, please submit your application by Wednesday November 4th by filling out the application here.

If you have any further questions, please contact the Youth Engagement team at yep@5rightsfoundation.com.
